Rangsdorf has always been called the “Lido of the south of Berlin”. The lake, which reaches directly to our property, is an ideal water sports and recreation area. Depending on the season, the refreshing water invites you to swim or paddle across the lake by boat … in winter you can skate or enjoy the peace of the lake undisturbed for ice sailing.
The western shore of the lake is home to an international bird sanctuary that provides a resting and roosting place for thousands of wild geese, gray herons and cranes on their way south in the fall.
A hiking trail with many secluded spots runs along the shores, where you will have time to linger and watch the birds. This path also leads past “Little Venice”. The waterfront properties were created in the 1930s when a resourceful businessman had artificial waterways and paths constructed.
